This week’s Social CEO is Stephen Kelly of Sage Group plc (http://www.sage.com/). Since joining Sage in 2014 from the UK Cabinet Office, where he was Chief Operating Officer, he has truly embraced social media.
Stephen is a great advert for how CEOs should use social. Not only does he have a very active presence on Twitter, he also appears on networks as diverse as Periscope and Vine and blogs regularly on his LinkedIn account.
In a recent tweet he said: “Social is vital to me to engage with customers, partners and colleagues.” And that is one of the major benefits of social media for CEOs and other CXOs – it provides a unique window into the thoughts and needs of your stakeholders. How can you put an ROI on that?
